Job description
NYC leading downtown law firm seeking immigration attorney (3-5 years experience). Primaryfocus will be family based immigration and removal defense. Duties will include: attending hearings and interviews, writing briefs, motions, and appeals. Must be a self-starter and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Foreign language fluency (Spanish) is required. Candidates must be detail oriented, able to multitask, and have strong analytical (research & writing) as well as organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork are valued.

The following qualifications are required:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school -
Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction -
Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures -
Excellent written and verbal communication skills -
Proficient in legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis -
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice -
Strong negotiation and litigation skills -
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills -
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
